Permanent makeup helps give back what time has taken away and save you time you normally spend “putting on your face.” You can save hours in a single year that were formerly spent struggling to draw eyebrows evenly or eyeliner half-way straight….that’s a lot of extra free time! Plus imagine the money you will save not buying cosmetics that rub off, smear, smudge and disappear during the day.
Permanent makeup is not necessarily intended to replace cosmetics completely. Because the color is placed “in” your skin and not “on” your skin a more natural, softer look results. When you are ready to kick up your heels and go out for a night on the town or want a different look, you can apply as much additional makeup as you wish.
Permanent Makeup can be used to:
- Enhance the color of eyelids and eyebrows
- Define and line eyelids
- Create the look of eyebrows with the feather technique lost to age or disease
We can thicken thin brows, change their shape, correct over-tweezed brows, and create beautiful brows where none exist. Jenn uses a wide variety of colors to ensure a natural look.
Eyeliner Top and/or Bottom
We can give you full eyeliner, or just an eyelash enhancer for those attention getting eyes.
We can enhance a current beauty mark, or create a new one.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Micropigmentation (Permanent Makeup)?
Permanent makeup is the art of implanting color into your skin. It is putting the right color in the right place so you can look better naturally. Specialized instruments allow your technician to place color into the layer of skin known as the dermis. Because the outermost layer of skin, the epidermis, is always shedding and renewing itself, you are looking at the color through a thin veil of skin. When a procedure is completed, the color will appear darker than the final result. This is because the color is in BOTH the epidermis and the dermis. The color in the top layer will flake off during the healing process lightening the overall effect.
Will it hurt?
Topical anesthetics are applied before and during the procedure to assure you of the most comfortable experience possible. However, some discomfort may be felt, especially for lip color. On a scale of 1-10, most people will usually be somewhere between a 0-3. Rarely is anything stronger than a Tylenol needed for the discomfort and you will not have to miss work or take time off to recover.
How long is the procedure?
The procedure generally takes about two to three hours. Be prepared to be at the salon a total of three to four hours to allow for paperwork, consultation, and numbing time.
How long will it last?
It varies. Permanent makeup lasts a long time, but not forever. As you become accustomed to your new makeup it is not uncommon to want more. You will want to freshen up your makeup every couple of years. The darker the color the longer it will stay unchanged in your skin. Natural, delicate colors are often more vulnerable to the effects of sun, swimming and breakdowns by the body’s natural response.
What is involved in recovery?
There will be some swelling and redness in the skin, which should subside quickly. Most recovery times last from a few days to a couple of weeks. You may experience light sensitivity with the eyeliner procedure, so be sure to bring some dark sunglasses for your drive home. After the procedure it is advisable to go home and rest, applying cold packs (not ice) to the area during the first few hours. Swelling will be worse the following day and then begin to gradually improve. The brows swell the least, eyes and lips more. Large amounts of pigment are implanted in order to acquire enough color after the healing process. During the next 3-4 days, your makeup will go through changes of exfoliation and will peel and fade to a soft shade. It is not uncommon to go 70% lighter. Immediately after tattooing, the skin goes through a process of oxidation. This is caused by wet pigments exposure to air. This gives a darker appearance. It will lighten as it dries into the skin. Within 5-7 days your makeup will peel and reveal a much softer and lighter shade. The color will come back when you are fully healed, usually in about 30 days.
